How Are Paper Cups Produced?

The process of producing disposable paper cups consists of the following steps:
Ingredient Preparation: paper cups is made of coated paper, which consists of food-grade wood pulp paper and food-grade polyethylene film. The inner layer of polyethylene film plays a waterproof role, ensuring that paper cup do not leak, and the outer layer can be printed as needed.
Printing pattern: The design and text are printed on the outer layer of the coated paper through a printing press. The printing process must ensure accurate colors and clear patterns to meet customer needs.
Paper Cutting: After printing, use a paper cutter to cut the coated paper to the size and shape needed to make paper cups. Usually cut into fan-shaped pieces and rolled into cup tubes.
Paper cup molding:
Rolling molding: Placing the cut piece of fan paper at the entrance and exit of the paper cup paper machine. Through a robot, the machine places the paper on a turntable and quickly presses it against the mold of the paper cup. The seams are sealed with a hot air or heating gun to create a prototype paper cup with no bottom.
Bottom of a cup: On another machine, a press makes a shape on paper to form a round bottom of a cup. The cup bases are pushed into the bottom of the paper cup and sealed with melted sealant to ensure the bottom is tightly connected to the cup.
Edge treatment: The finished paper cups is fed into a chute and the edge of the paper cup bends to form a lip shape. Not only does the lip shape prevent liquids from spilling out, it also makes it easier to pick up and stack paper cups.
Classification and packaging:
Sorting: The sorting system transmits paper cups to different production lines through pipes, depending on their size.
Counting and packing: The detection sensor identifies the number of paper cups and the machine automatically packs the cups based on the detection results. Packaged paper cups will be rigorously disinfected at high temperatures to ensure hygiene and safety. Finally, the paper cups can be sold or shipped out of factory.
